Mark Ferguson is an artist, jeweler and maker of things who has been working out of a small studio in Los Angeles  since 2015. He works mainly in metals, reclaimed wood, and concrete, with a distinctly primitive aesthetic.  Most of Ferguson’s work is produced with both form and function in mind, driven by the moral belief that objects brought into the home should serve a purpose.

Ferguson works alone to produce his art, preferring to start each new piece with just raw materials and tools, in hopes of moving as far away from ideas and techniques of mass production as possible. The goal of his work is to demonstrate  that products don't have to be made to be disposed of, in contrast to the mindset fostered by our modern consumer culture. Each piece is functional art that is long lasting, beautiful, and ethically produced.
